A strawberry shortcake that will bring back memories of the good old days, made with fresh strawberries, Polaner Sugar Free Strawberry Preserves, and a buttermilk dough mix.
all purpose flour
strawberries (washed and hulled)
fat-free whipped topping
Polaner® Sugar Free Strawberry Preserves
In a large mixing bowl, mix the flour, baking powder and salt. Cut in the margarine until coarse; gradually add buttermilk. Stir. Knead to a soft dough. Roll out 1/2 inch thickness. Using a biscuit cutter cut into biscuits. Bake at 375°F for 15 - 18 minutes. Cut each biscuit in half. Mix the preserves and strawberries together. Spoon on top of biscuits. Top with whipped topping.
