Strawberry Shortcake

A strawberry shortcake that will bring back memories of the good old days, made with fresh strawberries, Polaner Sugar Free Strawberry Preserves, and a buttermilk dough mix.

  • 3 cup all purpose flour
  • 2 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt substitute
  • 1 pt. buttermilk
  • 2 pt. strawberries (washed and hulled)
  • fat-free whipped topping
  • 1 cup Polaner┬« Sugar Free Strawberry Preserves


In a large mixing bowl, mix the flour, baking powder and salt. Cut in the margarine until coarse; gradually add buttermilk. Stir. Knead to a soft dough. Roll out 1/2 inch thickness. Using a biscuit cutter cut into biscuits. Bake at 375┬░F for 15 - 18 minutes. Cut each biscuit in half. Mix the preserves and strawberries together. Spoon on top of biscuits. Top with whipped topping.
