Process
For the Compote
- Add cornstarch and water to a small bowl and mix until cornstarch has dissolved completely, set aside.
- In a small saucepan, heat Polaner® Very Berry Raspberry Fruit Spread on low heat stirring continuously until the fruit spread begins to simmer and becomes a liquid.
- Gently stir in the cornstarch mixture. Continue to stir to avoid clumps.
- Allow the fruit spread to thicken while stirring for about 2 minutes.
- Once cooled, fill a squirt bottle or pastry bag with compote, and set aside.
For the Pancakes
- In a mixing bowl, prepare the pancake batter according to the instructions on the box.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over low to medium heat and lightly grease the skillet.
- Once the skillet is ready, pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake.
- Using the squirt bottle or pastry bag filled with compote, swirl a pattern into the batter as it cooks.
- Cook the pancakes until bubbles form on the surface, typically around 2-3 minutes.
- Carefully flip each pancake with a spatula and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
- Repeat the process with the remaining batter.
- Once all the pancakes are cooked, serve them warm with your favorite toppings. Enjoy!
