  1. Preheat oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. On a lightly floured surface, cut two puff pastry sheets into 9 pieces each.
  3. In a bowl, mix the cream cheese and powdered sugar until well blended.
  4. Divide the mixture among 9 pieces of pastry, keeping it away from the edges.
  5. Top the cream cheese with 2 teaspoons of fruit spread.
  6. Wet the edges of the pastries (using your finger dipped in water is the easiest).
  7. Top each with the remaining 9 pieces and press to seal.
  8. Prick the top of each pastry 3-4 times with a fork.
  9. Whisk the egg and water together and brush over the top of each pastry.
  10. Top with sprinkles or turbinado sugar.
  11. Place them on the baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden and puffy.
