Kolacky Cookies Recipe

Ingredients
- 4 oz. cream cheese, softened
- ½ C. Crisco® All-Vegetable Shortening
- 2 Tbsp. butter, softened
- 1 ¼ C. all-purpose flour
- 6-8 Tbsp. Polaner® Verry Berry Fruit Spread, any variety
- Powdered sugar
Directions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, shortening and butter and mix until creamy.
- Add the flour and mix in on low speed until well blended.
- Divide the dough in half and place each half on a large piece of plastic wrap.
- Top with another sheet of plastic wrap and press the dough to about ¼-inch thickness.
- Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper; set aside.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out one half of the dough to 1/8-inch thick.
- Cut into 2 – 2 ½ -inch squares.
- Transfer squares to the prepared baking sheet.
- Place approximately 1 teaspoon of fruit spread in the center of each square.
- Take two opposite corners and bring them together over the fruit spread. Gently press them together.
- Reroll remaining dough to get more squares.
- Repeat with the other refrigerated half.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned.
- Allow to cool on the baking sheet before attempting to move them.
- Dust with powdered sugar and serve.
