  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, shortening and butter and mix until creamy.
  2. Add the flour and mix in on low speed until well blended.
  3. Divide the dough in half and place each half on a large piece of plastic wrap.
  4. Top with another sheet of plastic wrap and press the dough to about ¼-inch thickness.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  6. Preheat oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper; set aside.
  7. On a lightly floured surface, roll out one half of the dough to 1/8-inch thick.
  8. Cut into 2 – 2 ½ -inch squares.
  9. Transfer squares to the prepared baking sheet.
  10. Place approximately 1 teaspoon of fruit spread in the center of each square.
  11. Take two opposite corners and bring them together over the fruit spread. Gently press them together.
  12. Reroll remaining dough to get more squares.
  13. Repeat with the other refrigerated half.
  14. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned.
  15. Allow to cool on the baking sheet before attempting to move them.
  16. Dust with powdered sugar and serve.
