Grape Oatmeal Bars Recipe

Ingredients
BARS
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups quick oats
- 2/3 cup packed brown sugar
- ¾ tsp. Clabber Girl® Baking Soda
- 1 tsp. Spice Islands® Ground Saigon Cinnamon
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tsp. Spice Islands® Pure Vanilla Extract
- 1 cup Polaner® Verry Berry Concord Grape Fruit Spread
GLAZE
- ¾ cup powdered sugar
- 1 Tbsp. milk
- ¾ tsp. Spice Islands® Pure Vanilla Extract
Directions
BARS
- Preheat oven to 375°F and spray the bottom and sides of a 9×13-inch pan with Baker’s Joy® No-stick Spray with Flour.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, oats, brown sugar, baking soda and cinnamon.
- In a microwave safe bowl, melt the butter then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Pour melted butter over oat mixture and stir until completely moistened.
- Reserve 1 ½ cup of the oat mixture for later.
- Press the remaining mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan.
- Spread the fruit spread over the crust and then sprinkle the reserved mixture over the top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until lightly browned.
- Allow to cool then cut into bars or triangles.
GLAZE
- Whisk together the glaze ingredients until smooth.
- Drizzle over cooled bars.
